Mango, bergamot and orange blossom floral smoothie recipe

Sharing is caring!

This Mango, bergamot and orange blossom smoothie is packed with vitamin C and antioxidants. It really brightens up my day. Sweet fruit paired with sour citrus and a hint of floral is like sunshine in a bottle on these winter days. I've been looking for inspiration for a new floral smoothie recipe. I found it!

Recently, I was gifted with two large bottles of floral water. A sweet friend delivered some orange blossom and geranium water, after seeing me obsessing over rose water in so many recipes.

How to use floral water?

Although I love floral water, I'm always wondering the best way to use it. The flavor is strong and so fragrant it can taste like perfume if you're not careful. Some ways that I really enjoy my floral water in floral syrups, over pomegranate seeds, in popsicles, and in lemonade, and even iced tea. I also love to add it to my bath and to make a paste with my raw face masks. But with two large bottles, and an international move coming up, I was wondering how I could make great use of them in new ways.

The inspiration

After finding a huge mango in the market, I decided to try their flavor out in smoothies. And oh my gosh, I was blown away. I really love sweet, fruity scents mixed with floral ones in my diffuser. So, why not try a floral smoothie, I thought?

I've actually had floral smoothies on my brain since this summer when I was making a lot of blueberry lavender smoothies. I have this idea to create a botanical smoothie post for you. I know you all love adding the beauty of flowers to everything as much as I do. However, I couldn't think of more delicious sounding recipes at the time.

Now, I have some help from my new floral waters! My floral water really mixed beautifully with my fruit and took the flavor to WOW. This smoothie was like a glass of sunshine. My recommendation? If you ever see a bottle of rose, neroli (orange blossom) or geranium water - GRAB IT!

Floral waters, where to find them for your floral smoothies?

I got my floral waters as a gift, but can tell they were produced locally here in Tunisia. Upon doing a google search for my US readers, I actually could not find floral waters for sale that were not designed for skincare (aside from rose water) You'll likely need to make them yourself. Which isn't really problematic, since you'll save money and be certain it's made from the highest quality ingredients.

Because I do not have my own post on how to make your owl floral water / Hydrosol yet, I am linking you to this one!
