One of the reasons I love a keto lifestyle is the freedom to drink super rich heavy cream in my coffee every morning. In the past I’ve tried dairy free milks in my coffee, and they weren’t bad at all. But, cream is queen when it comes to lightning up my morning cup. In light of keeping it festive ( and keeping Christmas keto!) I created this unbelievably tasty peppermint mocha creamer to seriously boost your blend and mood. I promise you will not want Starbucks again after this.

start with coffee or cocoa:
I love to add this to my dark espresso blends, but it pairs well with any robust coffee, and even hot cocoa! To be totally honest, I love it so much I have caught myself drinking it like a royal chocolate milk. My sweet little Payton is madly in love with hot cocoa, and I can’t wait to surprise her with an ultra rich peppermint mocha hot cocoa cup soon. Hers will undeniably have your standard mini marshmallows, though. š If you have a milk frother, you can pour your creamer in to get the most luxurious latte imaginable.

what’s inside?
I used a combination of raw cocoa powder, torani sugar free peppermint syrup, sugar free peppermints, heavy cream, and OPTIONAL add ins: lakanto monk fruit sweetener, and your favorite CBD oil.
The raw cocoa powder used is from one of my favorite brands: Terrasoul Superfoods. Really, any that you have on hand should work fine for this recipe. I love adding cocoa powder in raw form any chance possible, as antioxidants in cacao offer cellular defense against free radicals! Chocolate + wellness? Yaas!
I found these sugarfree peppermint candies, that I used in my recipe. These really brought me back to my nana’s house, who always had a drawer full of these mints in her home, all year round. As an adult, I realize that red dye found in peppermint candy is NOT ideal for health, but this is a festive treat I use without regret around the holidays. I LOVE peppermint candies and enjoy them to the fullest. Alternatively, you can do just a drop or two of essential oil (must be certified food grade / ingestible!) , however – I tried this first and didn’t find it to be as enjoyable as it is with the peppermint candy.
If you like a sweet creamer, you can add lakanto monkfruit sweetener. I typically don’t enjoy really sweet coffee, but the second time around that I made this, I enjoyed some in my blend. And if you love the sound of keto peppermint mocha, you must check out my keto peppermint bark cookies infused with CBD.Ā
