need a gift idea? look no further!
The holiday season is upon us! This time of year, we start shopping for our friends & family. In the last year, I began making so many of the items that I would have normally bought as gifts (or wished to receive.) I loved gifting items like: soaps, candles, snacks & sweets. This year, it was important to me to make some gifts for my loved ones homemade. It takes a little bit of time and planning to produce a homemade gift, but it feels so, so right to do. I promise a sustainable, nicely made gift will be more fulfilling and memorable for all parties involved. For me, creating something in my kitchen is so much more relaxing than browsing online, worried about what to pick, or much worse… facing the mall. It doesn’t get much more simple than this infused honey recipe, and I will show you how to package it in a beautiful, heart-felt way.

how to package
I wanted to package this honey in a sweet little apothecary jar with a honey comb stick. You do not need to buy a special jar, but this particular one fit inside my little wooden crate so perfectly. I also used some brown recycled paper filler “grass“. I love that all of the materials used to package this gift can be used over and over again. I know I would use all the contents of the packaging forever.

need a label?
I also wanted to create a special label. I created several labels that you can easily print with some sticker paper, and cut + place on your gift box, bottle, or cork. I personally ended up liking how it looked best on the cork! I do not have a printer, so I had mine professionally printed, which worked out really well too! If you would like to print on vistaprint.com, select this sticker in 1.5 inches for a perfect fit. Available label options are: Basil, Lavender, Mint, Rose, Rosemary, Sage + Thyme. If you are inspired to make some infused honey for yourself or a loved one, this is the recipe I used to create the MOST dreamy lavender infused honey.

Add your spice, fresh herb, or flowers.
